The Iranian-American Scholarship Fund was established in San Diego, California in 1997-98 to provide scholarships for students with Iranian heritage, who exhibit academic excellence, as well as financial need. This Fund is the first major “Iranian community” supported scholarship organization established in the United States.

Today, we are an independent national non-profit 501 (c) 3. with the Tax ID # 20-2150547. 

The fund accepts applications from students with Iranian heritage in undergraduate (2^nd year and above), as well as graduate (Masters) program studies or equivalent. Applicants must be attending an accredited educational institute within the United States. We do not provide any scholarships for outside of the United States. Complete requirements can be reviewed on our application section.

Annually on January 5^th applications are available on-line to students and on March 31^st access to applications will be closed. Deadline for mailing an application is April 1^st of each year. 

Student applications after necessary confirmation from their attending school is reviewed by a team of academic scholars, and at their recommendation and in accordance with funds available, the Board of Directors will award the scholarships.
